    LIBRARY MATERIALS

    KINDERGARTEN

Students check out one book per week and it is due the following week. Beginning second quarter, I institute Kindergarten Book Bags. Students receive a numbered plastic bag with 2 books on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. 7th and 8th grade students keep track of the bags. When a student returns a bag on Monday, Wednesday, or Friday, they receive another bag with different books. This helps expose our young students to a wide variety of reading materials.

    1ST AND 2ND GRADES

Students check out 2 books per week and they are due the following week. If a student would like to keep reading the same book, he/she should bring it with them to library class and renew the book. Library grades are based on returning the books.

    3RD & 4TH GRADES

Students check out 3 books per week and they are due in 2 weeks. They may also renew books when  necessary but should have the book with them.

    5TH GRADE

Students in 5th grade may check out up to 4 books a week and they are due in 2 weeks. They may also renew books when  necessary but should have the book with them.

    6TH-8TH GRADES

Students  may check out up to 5 books a week and they are due in 2 weeks. They may also renew books when  necessary but should have the book(s) with them.

If a book is lost or damaged, students should try to pay for it as soon as possible so that a replacement book may be ordered.
