•                                                   5th and 6th grade Homework Policies and Procedures

    1. Homework is the student’s responsibility.

    2. All homework should be turned in on time.

      5th grade Students--- will receive 3 late passes for homework at beginning of each quarter. They will have upto 3 days to turn in for full credit. All homework after 3 days is considered 0% credit.

    3. 6th grade Students--- will receive 2 late passes for homework at beginning of each quarter. They will have upto 3 days to turn in for full credit. All homework after 3 days is considered 0% credit.

       

    THERE WILL BE NO EXCEPTIONS.

    1. All homework will be done neatly and legibly.

    2. In addition to class homework, students must read for at least 20 minutes every night including the weekends.

    3. When a student is absent it is their responsibility to read for their 20 minutes for school and their 20 minutes for home. They should record this on their reading log.  If it is not recorded on the reading log, they will not get credit for that day.

    4. Students will write their homework in their assignment notebooks at the end of each day.

    5. There is NO EXCUSE for not turning in your homework. 

    6. If a student is absent, they have that many days missed to make up their assignments. For example, if you were absent 1 day, then your assignments must be turned in the day after you come back. Many assignments are online, so that they won’t get behind. You can also partner with another student to call when absent.

    7. It is the student’s responsibility to get all the assignments that were missed while they were out absent.

    8. Students must put their NAME on all homework assignments.
